Caterina first met Giuseppe when she hired him to build an extension of her home. She was impressed with his expert work and close attention to detail. When Giuseppe identified an error in the engineering drawings, Caterina knew that her project was in good hands, and her confidence in him grew.
As the build progressed, the two developed a strong working relationship that, over time, became a friendship too—and they realised two things. Firstly, they had very complementary skillsets: Giuseppe’s construction expertise, and Caterina’s design and project management skills. Secondly, there was a gap in the market for a company that offered that combination.
And so, Leonart was born. Our brand reflects our combined strengths: Giuseppe’s technical know-how and Caterina’s artistic and creative insight.
Caterina is an experienced interior designer and project manager. Steeped in the art and architecture of her native Tuscany, she studied in Florence and worked in Italy before moving to London a decade ago. Caterina has brought her creative flair to many high-end interior design projects, designing and realising bespoke concepts for a wide range of clients.
Giuseppe is our construction management lead, personally overseeing every aspect of the build process. Starting out as an apprentice to his father in Italy, he’s built up over twenty years of experience in the construction industry. Giuseppe has a long record of successful projects in the luxury residential and hospitality sectors. He moved to London six years ago, where he set up Leonart together with Caterina.
